Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Released: 4000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is among Samsung’s latest foldable phones, was unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. Along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, this phone is the first to feature end-side generative AI powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Google Gemini AI.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 boasts significant advancements and is poised to revolutionize the foldable phone market. In addition to the ordinary version, the business introduced the Olympic Edition, which will be available exclusively to athletes competing in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.
Appearance.
When folded, the new Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a significantly smaller profile than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, measuring 14.9 mm. This modest reduction in thickness contributes to the phone’s sleeker appearance. When unfolded, the phone’s dimensions stay the same: 71.9/165.1/6.9mm. In terms of weight, this device weighs just 187 grams. Thus, it is the lightest model in the Galaxy Z series to date.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 is made of strengthened armor aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass. This durable design ensures that the phone can withstand daily wear and tear. It has an IP48 protection rating, making it resistant to particles larger than 1 mm. This increased durability is a significant improvement, giving users greater peace of mind about the phone’s longevity.
Camera.
The camera system is one of the Galaxy Z Flip6’s most noticeable advancements. The main sensor has been upgraded to 50MP, resulting in crisper and more detailed images. The official release and shipping date are July 20, but it is available for pre-order. The 12 + 256GB model will retail at 8999 yuan ($1,237) and the 12 + 512GB model at 9999 yuan ($1,374).
