Alfred Mutua hits back at wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Foreign CS Alfred Mutua has hit back at Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for his remarks that seemed to put the Kamba community as a non-supportive community.

Kalonzo while attending a burial on Wednesday in Machakos said Kambas should behave like the Luo nation if they wish to successfully have a presidential candidate in the future.

“If you Kambas behaved like Luos, this seat we would clinch the following day. The cowardice that we displayed… If we were like Musembi, the whole nation would take notice. These things are never given, they are grabbed. You go for it!” he said.

However, the former governor hit back by saying that is an absurd thing to say.

“It’s surprising that a leader of the stature of Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka who has built his career in diplomacy and peacebuilding would urge communities to violence,” Alfred said.

The CS removed himself from the Azimio team a few months before the elections in 2022, leaving wiper party.

He later condemned the instances of violence witnessed across the country during the Azimio la Umoja demos.

He said the Kamba community will never resort to such action to push for an agenda they truly believe in.

“This is not because a certain community, Kambas in this case are cowards. NO it is because they are just not violent and do not approve of maandamano, violence, looting and destruction of property,” he added.

Mutua also hit back at the Azimio team for resorting to demonstrations, saying Kenyans have a lot to deal with at the moment.

“You really want our relatives to burn their businesses in Machakos, Kitui, Mwingi, Wote etc to be seen to be brave? Engaging in violence and unjustified processes do not make one a hero,” he said.

He added that Kenyans have faith in the Kenya Kwanza government to solve problems in the country.
