Bandits attack a school in Baringo county and makes it his home

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has revealed shocking news that an armed bandit has seized one primary school in Baringo which and made it a home for his two wives.

According to the CS, the man has converted the classrooms into bedrooms which he has allocated to his family.

He made Standard Eight classroom as his bedroom while Standard Seven belongs to his first wife.

The man’s second wife sleeps in class Six classroom while his first-born child has taken up Standard Five.

Speaking before the Senate earlier, CS Kindiki said bandit attacks have left 21 schools closed as at the moment.

The government has however managed to open 14 of the schools but unfortunately seven remain closed including the one seized by the bandit.

CS Kindiki told the senators that part of the security plans by the government will see the region populated with enough security personnel,

who will not leave the six affected counties until all bandits are cleared and the region is safe for everyone.

Two weeks ago, the CS declared six counties in the North Rift as dangerous following a wave of banditry attacks that left several people, including security officers, dead.
