Kenyans to Get Easier Access to Court Services at Huduma Centres

Starting January 29, 2024, Kenyans can skip the courthouse hassle and access nine essential judicial services right at their local Huduma Centres.
This means convenience and time saved for tasks like filing new civil cases, managing existing cases, and even attending virtual court hearings.

Here’s what you can do at your Huduma Centre:

  • Start a new case: File your civil case paperwork directly at the Huduma Centre.
  • Manage existing cases: Submit documents, inquire about case status, and get mention dates.
  • Virtual court access: Join virtual court hearings through provided links and receive virtual support.
  • Court document access: Request and receive notices, orders, decrees, and judgments in divorce cases.
  • E-filing assistance: Get help opening, recovering, or resetting your e-filing account, navigate the system, and learn self-help tips.
  • Pay fines and deposits: Settle court fines, cash bails, and other deposits conveniently.

These services are currently available only at six Huduma Centres: GPO Nairobi, City Square, Makadara, Kibra, Eastleigh, and Thika.

This initiative marks a significant step towards making the judicial system more accessible and efficient for Kenyans. So, if you have a legal matter to handle, be sure to check out your local Huduma Centre starting January 29th!
