Man Found Dead After Quarrel With His Wife.

A man was discovered dead in a hotel room in Eleparanwo, Rivers State’s Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

The man had booked into the hotel the night before after a squabble with his wife, according to reports.

A hotel employee who discovered his body told Punch that the man smashed a mirror in the room where he was staying, and that he believes the man used it to cut his throat.

We went through the back and pushed the air conditioner to see if someone could go inside and open the bolt. In the process, we broke the door open. Everybody, even his family members were here. They came in and saw him. He broke our mirror and maybe used it to cut his throat. We saw the mirror in the bath. They (his family) saw everything and started shouting.

Nnamdi Omoni, a spokesman for the state police command, said he was aware of the occurrence but had not yet received confirmation from the area’s Divisional Police Officer.
