OnePlus 12R Released: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 6.78-Inch Screen

For those looking to purchase a flagship killer, this is a huge moment, as it is the first time the R phone will be made accessible outside of India.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU from 2023 is packed with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage in the OnePlus 12R. The phone has a twin VC (9,140mm2) chamber that is 76% larger than the one in the 11R and shares the same design as the 12.

The 6.78-inch 1264x2780px LTPO4 AMOLED screen on the OnePlus 12R has the same 4,500 nit peak and 1,600 nit nominal brightness as the 12. It also boasts a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The 12R surpasses the 12 in terms of battery capacity; it comes with the largest 5,500mAh pack that OnePlus has ever put in a phone. It is enhanced with 100W SUPERVOOC charging (no wireless capability) and the 1,600 battery cycle-promising SUPERVOOC S Charging Management Chip. According to OnePlus, the battery has been fully charged and discharged for almost four years.

The OnePlus 12R sports three cameras: a 2MP macro sensor, an 8MP 1/4.0-inch ultrawide with a 16mm f/2.2 fixed-focus lens, and a 50MP IMX890 1/1.56-inch primary camera with a 24mm f/1.8 lens. A 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera is located up front. Last but not least, the 12R has an IP64 rating for complete splash resistance and durability.

There are two color options for the OnePlus 12R: matte Iron Gray and glossy Cool Blue. The 8/128GB model starts at INR 39,999/$500, and the 16/256GB variant costs €699/£649/INR 45,999/$600.
