Gospel artist Holy Dave detained in court for assault

Media personality and renowned food blogger Holy Dave appeared before a Kibera court today for allegedly assaulting a businessman at a club last year on October 2022.

David Kimanthi better known as Holy Dave, was charged in last year and was in court because of the assault case.

It was alleged that on October 1, last year at one club in Kilimani, he assaulted Keem David and caused him actual bodily harm.

According to police records, the renowned food blogger who is out on bail is alleged to have hit Keem with a bottle during an confrontation at the club.

Witnesses said Keem was sitting in the VIP section with two other friends and when another friend from a different table decided to join them.

The friend was stopped by a guard from joining Keem’s table and he went to intervene on his behalf that’s when holy Dave decided to intervene.

It is alleged that he wanted to know why Keem was defending his friend from the security man and in that confrontation, he hit him on the left side of his face.

The victim got a deep cut on the left side of the face near the eye and his clothes were soaked in his blood. They were both escorted by the security guards outside the club.

However Keen reported the matter to the police and Holy Dave was arrested and charged with the offence of assault.

Police have also retrieved CCTV footage of the incident that will be used as evidence in the court room.

Holy Dave had also reported to police that he sustained an injury on that night on his right hand.
