Jalang’o hopes to be the first luo President

Jalang’o hopes to be the first luo President.

Lang’ata MP Jalang’o has talked about his ambition to be the future president president of Kenya.

Speaking at Citizen TV, Jalang’o said that within the next five years he will have made a decision on what he will do next in his political career.

“One day If Baba will never be the President I will be the first Luo president. If he doesn’t win the next election and doesn’t be the first Luo ever to be elected President, I will be the commander in chief. All I pray for is life,” he said.

He said he has registered to advance his education to a master’s in preparation for the presidential bid.

This is however not the first time the ex radio presenter has declared his interest in running for a presidential seat.

On March 19, Jalang’o said he was working with the President to learn his skills for winning an election.

“I went to Ruto to learn skills of winning elections because Ruto has never lost elections since he entered politics. I went to learn how he has been getting it right whether it’s stealing or other ways,” he added.

Jalang’o has been on the bad side of Azimio supporters after he was part of a group that visited Ruto at State House and pledged to work with him.

The meeting was made as part of the President’s strategy to counter the opposition leader.

The MPs were blasted by Azimio supporters for meeting Ruto and accused of allegedly violating the party’s constitution.

Migori Senator Eddy Oketch wrote to the party to expel and deregister the nine lawmakers last month.

However, Raila made a U-turn on the planned removal of the nine MPs saying the MPs had written to him explaining why they visited Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

He added that they had affirmed their respect to the Orange party.
