Android-12 Based Oppo A77s Released with 6.56″ Display and 50MP Cam.

Oppo has released a third member to the A77 series, Oppo A77s. The Oppo A77s is a version of the Oppo A77 4G and has similar features aside from having a different chip and more RAM.

The display system comprises of 6.56″ 90Hz LCD of HD+ resolution. It is covered by Panda Glass and has an over-the-top brightness of 600 nits, which is above the usual 480 nits. The device’s rear section ios graced by a  Fibreglass-Leather Design borrowed from a few predecessors of Oppo smartphones such as the F21 Pro 4G, which comes in the Sunset Orange version.

The Oppo A77s is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. It comes with a storage of 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage onboard. Aside from the inbuilt storage, the device has a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 1TB of storage. The RAM can also be increased by 5GB virtually using the handset’s internal storage.

It has a camera system comprising of three cameras. The front part has an 8MP selfie camera while the back has a 50MP primary camera alongside a 2MP monochrome unit.

The side section of the A77s sports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Dual Ultra Linear Stereo Speakers with Dirac Sound. It also has IP54 dust and water resistance. There is no 5G connectivity. It also has a battery of 5,000 mAh charged through a USB-C port at up to 33W.

The Oppo A77s comes in Sunset Orange and Starry Black colors and retails at $241 in Thailand online. It has not yet penetrated into other markets.
