Man Kills 6 Year Old Daughter And Commits Suicide.
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Embakasi, Nairobi, on January 19, where a 39-year-old man, identified as Samuel Njiru, took the life of his six-year-old daughter before tragically ending his own through suicide in the Bamba 70 area. Police Officer Arrested On Alleged Murder Of Lang’ata Woman
Njiru left behind a suicide note, the contents of which have not been disclosed to the public.
The lifeless body of the young girl was found on the bed with severe cuts on the neck and around the ears. Subsequently, residents discovered Njiru hanging from the roof of the same house.
Responding to alerts from residents, the police recovered a blood-stained kitchen knife, a suicide note, and a phone at the scene.
The bodies were taken to the City mortuary for a postmortem examination. Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei emphasized that investigations are ongoing into this tragic murder-suicide incident and underscored the importance of open communication within families to address differences.
In a separate incident in Kikuyu, Kiambu county, a 33-year-old man named Samuel Mbugua Njau died by suicide in his house.
His lifeless body was found hanging from a rope, and the motive behind the tragic incident remains unknown.
Meanwhile, in Chanda village, Machakos, a herder tending to his cows discovered a decomposing body.
The victim, identified as Jacques Muuo Kaminda through an identification card, had a sisal rope tied to his neck, suggesting a possible suicide.
However, the circumstances are under investigation, and the police are exploring the possibility of foul play. The body was moved to Kathiani Level IV hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and formal identification.
