OPPO unveils its groundbreaking OPPO Air Glass 3 at MWC 2024

OPPO unveiled its latest innovation, the OPPO Air Glass 3, a lightweight binocular AR glasses prototype, representing a significant advancement in Extended Reality (XR) at Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC).

The OPPO Air Glass 3, weighing 50 grams, incorporates a self-developed resin waveguide with a refractive index of 1.70, offering a comfortable wearing experience akin to regular glasses.

“With a peak eye brightness exceeding 1,000 nits and excellent display uniformity, it boasts the best full-color display in its category. Users can access generative Artificial Intelligence capabilities through the AndesGPT model via a smartphone app, enhancing the immersive experience.”

Through the Air Glass app, users can effortlessly engage with the AI voice assistant by lightly pressing the temple, transforming the binocular AR glasses into a personal smart assistant for everyday tasks.

Collaborating with Qualcomm Technologies and AlpsenTek, OPPO introduced Hybrid Vision Sensing (HVS) technology at MWC 2024. This technology, featuring an AI Motion algorithm, enhances image deblurring and enables high frame rate slow-motion videos on mobile phones.

The OPPO Find X7 Ultra, equipped with innovative features like the AI Eraser, is showcased alongside this technology.

OPPO announced the establishment of the OPPO AI Center, solidifying AI as a cornerstone of its long-term growth strategy.

“This center will spearhead research and development efforts in AI, fostering user-centric exploration of technology and applications.”

Accompanying the establishment of the OPPO AI Center is the release of the OPPO AI Smartphone White Paper, outlining the company’s vision for AI-powered smartphones replacing traditional models.

OPPO’s commitment to AI innovation is reflected in its filing of over 3,160 global patents related to AI as of December 2023.
