Rapper Stevo Simple Boy has opened up on the issue sorrounding Kenyan music as Tanzanian music is dominating the Kenyan industry.
The hitmaker revealed Kenyan musicians are not working hard enough when it comes to the type of music they release and the lyrics they put out.
Speaking in an interview, he decided to compare himself to Tanzanian Bongo Star Diamond Platnumz, saying he releases decent and meaningful songs which everyone in the society can relate with.
“Mimi sana sana napenda kuhimiza jamii, kuwapatia ujumbe, siimbi ngoma za kupotosha watu. Si kila mtu huwanga anaskia ngoma za hepi, kusisimua mwili, kuna wazee ma bikizee kuna watu wazima imbeni ngoma amabazo ukiwa pale kwa nyumba unaziskia na mzazi. Wakenya tutieni bidii najua watu pia walikuwa wanasema Stevo Simple ni Diamond wa Kenya. Hizo zikitulia mi naachilia ngoma. Wasanii wa Kenya pia watie bidii waache kuimba ngoma ambazo hazileti shangwe.” he said
He has been having issues with his management, MIB and he is yet to upload new songs on his YouTube channel since they are still in control of all his social media accounts.
