“I will hand over power smiling because it is constitutional. Aluta continua… but I will leave knowing Baba (Raila) is my leader.

Don’t think that you have denied Raila. You have denied yourself the opportunity of bringing the country together. You denied yourself an opportunity to bring the country together, You haven’t denied Raila. Msiwekwe Kwa mfuko,” Uhuru said.

He added that politics was not a game of enmity, but warned that Kenyans had passed up an opportunity to bring the country together. He also urged MPs to support Azimio as Parliament selects the next Speakers of both Houses.

According to the DP, Ruto called Uhuru on Tuesday night and they agreed to have a smooth transition in accordance with the country’s traditions.
