Their affectionately called daughter, Mumbus, conveyed her wish to experience boarding school life last year, citing weariness from day schooling and a longing to assert her independence.

Though taken aback, the parents wholeheartedly supported her decision. Abel, also known as Mukuru, shared a delightful family picture capturing Mumbus in her school uniform, poised to embrace her new educational journey.

Overflowing with joy, the film director playfully sought suggestions on how to commemorate this special occasion.

“It’s over for all of you. Sherehe hii town manpiganga wapi?”

In the midst of this transition, Judy poured out her emotions about releasing their only child, expressing gratitude with the words,

“It’s DONE. Thank you, Lord, for bringing us this far.”

Back in December, the acclaimed screenwriter made the decision to keep his daughter Mumbus’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results private.

During an interview at the premiere of Terence Creatives’ “Wash Wash 4,” Abel shared the excitement he and his wife, Judy Nyawira, felt as their daughter embarked on her boarding school journey.

Filled with immense joy, he revealed that Mumbus had excelled remarkably, securing a spot in a prestigious high school.

Addressing inquiries about the exam results from the public, Abel clarified that Mumbus is now active on social media, suggesting that those interested should direct their questions to her directly.
