Renowned politician and business woman Orie Rogo Manduli has died. The late Orie died at her home in Riverside, Nairobi. She was the first African woman rally driver and will be remembered for being fearless and standing her ground.
In a past interview at her home, the former Miss East Africa spoke of her achievements and why she stopped rallying. She said she stopped rallying because it was time consuming and couldn’t find time for other priorities.Rallying was not enough to put food on her table as she also had kids to feed.
She also added that she did not have any regrets on how she lived her life and if she was to do it again she would not change anything, aside from getting married young.
May her soul rest in peace.
