Zari Hassan gets married at a private event with long-term boyfriend.

Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan and her boyfriend Shakib Lutaaya have reportedly gotten married in a private ceremony.

In a video shared on Instagram, Shakib was captured putting a ring on Zari’s finger in a traditional islamic wedding known as a Nikkah ceremony.

The wedding was a surprise to many and it is said to have taken place in South Africa with only a handful of people invited for the wedding.

They were both wearing traditional regalia and Zari hugged him after wearing the ring.

They then sealed the moment with a kiss.

There is also an official family photo moment outside a residence where a man is heard shouting praises and looking happy.

“Happy is the man who finds a true friend. Congrats the Lutaayas,” Shakib wrote.

The two lovebirds have been dating for a year now despite facing backlash on social media due to their age difference being too high.

A while last year, Shakib’s ex wife Shamirah Nalule had accused the socialite of breaking her marriage.

She claimed that Shakib left their marital home to be with Zari since she is successful and famous.

She also shared a marriage certificate which shows the two got married in June 2016.

In response, Zari dismissed claims that she was a husband snatcher and accused Shamira of using her name to chase clout.
